David Manuel Echeveste

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of David's passing. I met David when I was about 10 years old, while we were teammates on the Rowland Heights Little League pirates. I played baseball with him and against him from that point forward until the end of high school. He was always a hell of a hitter. On behalf of the Llovera family, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Echeveste family.

I first met David in my first year in baseball. We played for the Brewers at Rowland Heights Little League, it was in the farm division. Eddie was so young he will not remember me. You were a good man then, and from reading your bio and messages a good soldier has departed. Although we haven't seen each other or spoken since high school, my heart mourns with your family. Echeveste Family,
I was a coworker of David's...(I'm Yolanda Negrete's daughter)...it was a great loss for everyone...it's very shocking when you loose a loved one so suddenly. He will be missed. I do sincerely pray for David and your family. May God Bless you ALL!

To Eddie and Manny and all the Echeveste family, I send my thoughts and prayers. I know you are hurting. I knew David as a competitor (a tough one!) in fastpitch when I lived in San Diego 1998-2002. I had the pleasure of playing only one tournament with Santana and David. I remember that in one game (about 100 degrees!) he kept getting extra base hits and having to run hard. He would come in hardly able to breathe and his wife and mother would administer cool liquids and their admiration....
