ELDRIDGE, David P. - Of Grand Blanc, age 53, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 10AM Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Wayne H. Wentzel officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Visitation 3PM-8PM Sunday and 1PM-8PM Monday at the funeral home. Dave was born in Flint on July 6, 1955 the son of Paul and Ardyth Eldridge. Dave was a resident of Grand Blanc for many years. Dave graduated from Clio High School, Class of 1973. He served in the U.S. Navy. Dave married Patricia Borowczyk on February 26, 1979 in Las Vegas. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was an extreme sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Dave retired from General Motors and worked in both the Pontiac and Grand Blanc plants where he was known as "Hippie". He was a member of UAW Local 653. Surviving are wife Pat; daughters, Heather and husband John Hocken of Grand Blanc; Nicole and husband Dan Gring of Swartz Creek; granddaughter; Madison, and soon to arrive grandson, Dylan David; mother, Ardyth Eldridge of Grand Blanc Township; sisters Judy and husband Jay Irwin of Cape Coral, FL and Nancy and husband Joe Mulder of Grand Ledge, MI; nephew, Aaron Irwin of Cape Coral, Fl.
