I do not have a biological brother but David taught me about brotherhood. He introduced me to tennis, softball, and windsurfing. We played countless games of tennis. We won a championship trophy in a softball tournament.
We surfed the waves of the Pacific, and canoed and camped the Brazos. He loved being near the ocean and he loved helping people. He helped many more people than I ever could. He taught me to have fun and help others in this life, and I do my best to pass it on.

He had a big heart and welcoming presence. He lived across from my nana for years. He took my cousin in and helped him recover from drug and alcohol addiction. I attended some meetings with him myself. RIP

David was a caring man with a big heart. He would share his world with anyone in need. A place to stay, a meal to share and an ear to listen is how I will remember him. David you will be missed by many and I am sorry you left us so soon.
