Ms DeCorte-Ellis and family
Mr Ellis made a wonderful teacher and such a compassionate soul. He cared. Not only that we learned but how we were. He pulled me aside one day to show me a "love note" I had written in 3rd grade to another student, that you had saved. (you were a student teacher assisting Thelma Jack). He just stood there and smiled. Even in his teaching his love for his family always showed. He made a difference to everyone's path he was able to cross. Many hugs to you and your...

We grew up in Forestville and lived near to each other. Dave was a kind and friendly gentleman throughout his life. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

To the family of Dave Ellis. He was my social studies teacher in 8th grade, but he was a special man in my ex husband- Dave Jeffries senoir yr. He sweated bullets getting him to graduate. It was different when we socialized outside of school invited to your house. You were invited to our wedding and you came. Our marriage didn't last but good memories of David C Ellis have. Just another person I'll be seeing when I get to the other side. May the good memories of Dave Ellis live on in the...

Mrs. Ellis,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his arms around you and your family at this difficult time. Love you dearly!
Vivian Hogue

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our condolences go out to the entire family. Dave was a very down to earth human being and was always easy to converse with about life and I thoroughly enjoyed his hunting stories over the years. It was a real pleasure growing up in Northview farms and having such a good neighbor with his insight. He will be missed.

Sincerely,

Rich, Danielle, and Grant Hildebrand

Please accept our condolences. We just found out about this. Mr. Ellis and Mr. Morton made a great team in the guidance office! He will never be forgotten by the students and colleagues that shared his many days at SRAHS. With Love, Brenda Gellner Moore, Dan & Sam

Mr. Ellis was truly one of my favorite teachers. He inspired my love of history which continues to this day. He was a true patriot, loved his country, and inspired me to enlist in an unpopular war. Without a doubt, he touched so many lives and will be missed. We who were his students were blessed by his wisdom. My prayers go out to his family.
