ELLIS, David G. - Of Collinsville, Illinois, formerly of Flint, age 97, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland, Illinois. Friends may call from 5-8PM Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Masonic Memorial service will be conducted by the Flint Lodge No.23, F.&A.M. at 7PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children. David was born on January 7, 1910 in Laurium, Michigan. Mr. Ellis was a retired Customer Service Representative for Consumers Power Company for 33½years. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Flint, Flint Lodge No. 23, F.&A.M., life member of Scottish Rite Bodies Southern Illinois, Elf Khurafeh Temple, an honorary member of Collinsville Lodge No. 72, F.&A.M., Past Patron and life member of El Star Chapter #517, O.E.S., honorary member of Bunker Hill No. 151, F.&A.M., honorary member of Litchfield Lodge No. 236, F.&A.M., honorary member of Shipman Lodge No. 212, F&A.M. and honorary member of Walshville Lodge No.475, F.&A.M. Surviving are friends, Roy and Marina Lochman of Collinsville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ellis; parents, Thomas J. and Thomasine (Jenkins) Ellis; brother, Arthur Ellis and sister, Edna Little.
