Class of 1974 Montrose HS - It is always painful to hear of the loss of one of my classmates. I haven't seen David in many years, but I have two memories about David that had an impact on my life. He invited me to ride with his parents on our 8th grade class trip to Corning Glass and Watkins Glenn State Park. It made me feel like I was someone special. I remember answering a question in his father's science class and being reprimanded for not giving the correct answer. David actually...

I'm a fraternity brother Class of 1980 and just wanted to let the family know that even though I have not seen Dave since we all graduated my memories of Dave are warm and admiring. He was a rock and seemed to have an unflappably good attitude toward life and the crazy time it was to be where we were in 1977 and 1978. I'm sorry to hear that he had to deal with that awful form of cancer, but if anybody could deal with it with dignity and grace it would be Dave. I'm sorry I didn't get to be...

My God, I just found out that you are no longer with us mortals. I spoke to you just a few weeks ago and never thought that you would be gone so fast. You were a wonderful friend and I enjoyed your company very much. May God keep and nurture your soul. I offer my deep condolences to your wonderful family.

We are sorry for the loss of your dear loved
one. Among our most treasured blessings
is our sure hope of deliverance from
everything that causes pain and distress.
May fond memories and warm love help to
comfort your hearts and cushion your grief.
With deep sympathy.

You will be missed Dave. You were a wonderful loving father and treated my family like your own. I know you loved Asheville and we had fun exploring and taking pictures of the local natural beauty. I am sure your boys found all of your pictures and scrap books on your computer! Here is a picture of Dave doing one of the things he loved most.

We will always hold a place in our hearts for you. Love,
Christine, John, Connor and Nana
