DAVID A. ENGEL

I think of David often and will remember him forever. I loved our conversations! David was bright, funny, thought-provoking and insightful. His eyes lit up with humor and kindness. He brought joy and inspiration to every one he met. I was blessed to call him "friend."

A great friend with a big heart.

I work at Magee and spent alot of time getting to know David. He always had such a good attitude for everything he went through and I envied that. Always had a joke to crack and a smile on his face.he will be missed by so many.

I met David several months ago volunteering at Charles Morris. We became fast friends. I loved spending time with David! He was bright, funny, irreverent, insightful and filled with love. David had a singular smile I will never forget. I will miss him enormously, but I know he chose to live and die on his own terms and he was truly happy and at peace with it all. David adored his family, especially his beautiful mother. I will never forget David. I will always love him.

Alas, old friend, we say goodbye, wondering whether we completed the conversation, expressed the thought fully, or had that best last laugh. Follow the ellipsoidal, Dave. Or better yet, focus it.

I was a classmate of David's at Shadyside, class of '72, and remember him for his strong and positive spirit. I never heard him utter an unkind word to or about anybody, which is rare in what was at the time an all-boy's private school. He was also a pretty decent soccer player, and a good sport. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace, David.
