Not sure what to say?

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Dave was a mentor and a friend to me during my years at Vernay. I am not alone in my appreciation of the knowledge, thoroughness, and skill that he applied to his work. He will be missed by many of us who were priviledged to work closely with him. My prayers are with the Engelbert family during this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of talking to and hanging out with Dave at the many school events we attended for our kids. He was truly a devoted family man and was especially proud of Nathan, Lauren, and Lindsey and all of their accomplishments. I ran into him a couple of months ago and we enjoyed sharing all of the updates about our families (and I suppose bragging a little bit too) as only proud fathers can. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Karen and their children. He will be missed more...

Our prayers are with the family. David was a wonderful man and father. He was always so fun to play with when we were kids. This world lost a wonderful man. Our deepest sympathy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, Don and May Withers

My deepest sympathy to Lauren and family. I understand that words cannot describe your pain. Know that you are not alone in your grief and you will always have a very special Guardian Angel. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Words alone cannot express my sadness of Dave's passing. After being told of this tradgedy, I thought of the many good times we shared back in the 70's at work, MCWD, on the softball field, at parties and the many other times where our paths crossed over the years.
Dave's presence in my life and his friendship will be forever missed.

My deepest sympathy to Dave's family. I worked with Dave for many years and he was very instrumental in changing my life...he along with Jon Heslop encouraged me to finish my education and get a better position with Vernay. He was kind and thoughtful. I will always remember him and his love for his family whom he spoke of often. Thank you Dave. May God be with your family during this difficult time.

I, too, worked with Dave for many years and especially the last three years here in Griffin. It was so obvious how much he cared about the people working with him. I admired his thoroughness in doing his job. All of us miss him. Debbie Ashcraft (Griffin, GA)

I worked with Dave for many years, Dave was always so much fun to be with, he brought a lot of joy to so many peoples lives. Some people make the world special just by being in it and Dave was such a person. It was a privilage to know Dave and he will be missed by all his friends. One thing I will always remember about Dave is how much he loved his Iris's. We were always talking about flowers. What a great guy! My deepest sympathy to all his family and loved ones.
