Not sure what to say?

Dave and I worked together at Grand Rapids Police dispatch and shared dispatch duties at midnight of Y2K. We were the oldest in the office and we joked they were hoping everything would crash and US with it! But truthfully I think at our age we were prepared to face anything with calm. I will miss him at our breakfasts. RIP Dave, you are back again with Kathy.

To those close to Dave,
I must apologize for not being able to attend either the visitation or the service for Dave. We have appointments and prior commitments that interfere with our being able to come to those events.
Lots of great memories of days in the past, when we growing up. Days on the Ellis Rd places and family gatherings. Our prayers and condolences to those closest to Dave. CEH

My husband Ron and I had become good friends with Dave the last few years through bowling and golf. I lost my husband last month and I'm sure Dave and Ron are getting those holes in one on the courses they didn't get to play. Prayers to the family.

So sorry to hear the news about Dave, he will be sadly missed at Northway Bowling Lanes Tuesday and Friday Seniors. Keep bowling those 300 games in heaven, if not get strikes and spares. One of your bowling friends, Bob Strait

I stood up for David and Kathy in their wedding. Kathy and I had been friends since 7th grade and even though I moved away several years ago, we still kept in touch and saw each other most times I was back in town. I was shocked when David called me and told me Kathy had passed away. I am so sorry to learn of his passing so soon after Kathy. Words cannot express the sadness and emptiness I feel right now. I wish to believe they are together again. Rest in peace David and Kathy.

My sympathies and prayers are with the David Engle family. I bowled with Dave for many years at Bob-Hi Lanes on Monday nights and some ABC National events. May Dave rest in peace.

Master Chief Engle was a great mentor and role model to all those Naval Reservists who had the privilege to know him. He will be greatly missed.

You're at Home Plate!

Dave would understand the irony of everyone saying goodbye on the shortest day of the year. He was a wonderful man and he will be dearly missed.
He was one great Dispatcher and friend.
It's baseball now for him, everyday!
Just way too soon to see him go for the rest of us.
