David Jerry Epperson, 72, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Monday, March 16, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was of the Baptist faith; and was a member of the Burnsville Lodge #233 F&AM. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 3:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Ed Kennedy. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 2 sons, Mike Epperson and wife, Rhea, of Burnsville, MS, and Jamie Epperson and wife, Tammy, of Tishomingo, MS; 1 step-daughter, Ellen Julen and husband, Harold, of Burnsville, MS; 1 brother, Tommy Epperson of Pickwick, TN; 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, and Bryce Epperson; a nephew, William Edward Spears of Indianapolis, IN; and a niece, Dottie Powers of Burnsville, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Dorothy Epperson; and 2 infant daughters, Sherry and Charlotte Epperson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We just lost a man with the best sense of humor I have ever known.
He could always make me laugh.
