christ has taken home a man , a father, a husband who made many laugh...he has done his duty....raised wonderful children who flourished into amazing adults. now they must live as they have their journeys. in heaven he dwells, watching these children and the love of his life continue. the pain will seem insurmountable...they will grieve, reminis, and remember who they are....the legacy and only love of David Louis Esken.

David was a classmate of mine at Auburn East High School(1965).

My wife Donna and I were deeply shocked and saddened by David's passing. He always brightened our too-short times together with his humor and outlook. He will be greatly missed by those of us who considered ourselves part of the extended Esken family.

I knew your husband/dad in high school as with his last name being Esken and mine Fabel, he always sat in front of me in homeroom. We had a great friendship as a result and it continued throughout our years at Auburn East High School. He was a wonderful person and it was my privilege to have known him.
