Not sure what to say?

Dear Evett family; Mr. Evett will be fondly remembered for all the many things he did in his lifetime. He will be especially remembered for the way he loved to share his vast knowledge about things. I remember meeting up with his while fishing for trout one day and he took the time to spin one of his yarns. We shared a few tips and went on with our lives... I never forgot that man. Thought that hew was famous or something. I was right...he was a molder and melder of minds... Memory Eternal...

To the Evett family, our deepest condolences. Ross, Alison and Marin

We will always remember our too-brief time with you, David.

My wife and I extend our most sincere condolences to the Evett family. I was a student of David's at CSU as both an undergraduate and a graduate student and his love for Shakespeare was palpable. He was an excellent shortstop on our 1972 CSU intramural softball team, which boasted a PhD at every infield position, save catcher. I am deeply saddened to learn that David is gone. He was a young professor, an intelligent and charismatic presence in the English Department at Madison, where I first met him and Marianne. I was looking forward to seeing both of them in Prague: with his passing, we have lost a fine man. ...Barbara Kreps (Pisa, Italy)

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing, and send my condolences to his loving family. I was privileged to have known him even just a little, and grateful to have worked with him. Lucky to witness his glee first hand at a phrase of Shakespeare captured, of a moment revealed. His joy was contagious, and his appreciation the greatest praise anyone could receive. I know he will be greatly missed by so many, but also know that he leaves his presence so greatly with so many as well.

To the entire Evett family, my deep condolences. I remember our younger days playing baseball by the sheep sheds near CMU.
