I'm sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was my closest friend during our later years at Llewellyn Elementary School and the four years at Cleveland High School. We spent a lot of time playing ping pong in the basement of my house. We also played tennis on the courts at Westmoreland Park. Once we had graduated from high school we lost contact for a while. David's work on the Mark Twain volumes was/is a great help to me in my own endeavors regarding Twain's travels. He was generous enough to send me pdfs of several years from his books. I remain grateful for all this.
