David Thomas Findley

I will never forget my colleague and dear friend.

I had the privilege of working with David when he was County Forester. We worked together with the Florida Tree Farm Program and Silviculture BMPs. I will miss him.

I am so shocked to hear the news. I live in Seattle, WA but David was so nice to look after my family's Florida property and advise me on taking care of it. Always available whenever I was in the area to meet me and my family. He was like an addition to our family and over the years we learned more about his wife and son. He was very proud of them. I cannot imagine how their lives changed in an instant. We are all so very sorry. He will be missed.

David was an amazing young man that was always so pleasant, polite and fun to talk too. He was our neighbor in Jacksonville Florida (Jeremey's Landing) which I will always remember his polite and caring mannerism to all. He was also a dedicated and hard worker. Even though I haven't seen David in several years I always knew he would be an amazing and outstanding person as a friend and family person. Our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this difficult time. God Bless. ...

We are so sorry to hear of David's passing, he was a very kind and friendly gentleman, Bert & Eric you all did a wonderful job raising David, he was always polite and great to talk with. I know it's a sad loss for you, keep his memory alive through all the wonderful joy he brought to his family and friends. We'll never forget those baseball games & practices we went to, those cherished memories will last forever. God Bless You All.

We are so terribly sorry to hear of David's passing. My wife and I were both faculty at Alabama A&M University when David was there. I was the Coordinator of the Forestry program when he was with us; he took a couple of courses from me. He was also a student of my wife's, who hired him to work for her in support of some of her research. We both thought very highly of David -- he was diligent with his work and studies, trustworthy, persevered when times were tough and made us all proud...

Findley family, my condolences. David worked diligently to care for his home, this beautiful earth. His dedication and service is appreciated by so many, especially, the giver of such a wonderful gift, Almighty God. I pray God's love, mercy, and peace be with you and that your broken heart be soothed during this very difficult time of sorrow. Ps. 103:4, 147:3.
