David Lynn Fisher

David Lynn Fisher, age 63 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Thursday evening, March 13, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Saturday, August 19, 1950 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Greydon W. and Hazel Alice Reams Fisher. On January 29, 1977 he was married to the former Theresa Ann Kelley, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Matthew Lynn Fisher and his close friends, James Cook and Gregory Hilderbrand of Charleston; one daughter, Melissa Dawn Streets and husband Gregory, of Elkins; two brothers, William Greydon Fisher and wife Sandi; Harold Alan Fisher and wife Barbara; all of Elkins; four sisters, Ellen Louise Swartz, MI; Elsie Juanita Shoemaker and husband Hobert "Bud"; Evelyn Margaret White and husband Ben; and Janet Vanessa Isner and husband Jack, all of Elkins; one sister in law, Dora Fisher, Elkins; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Robert Hale Fisher; Michael Bernard Fisher; one sister, Reba H. Bise; and one niece Stephanie Swartz. David was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1969, had previously worked for Garden Fresh, Kermit Butcher, J. F. Allen; Ace Hardware and retired from Coastal Lumber Company as a saw filer due to a disability. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Monday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM. John Wilbur and Curtis Bauske will officiate and interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery at Beverly, WV.
