Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary,
I was one of Dave's people in the Actuarial department at Standard. I am sorry for your lost. He was a great person to work for and he will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

Mary:

I just heard that Dave had died, and I was shocked and saddened. I left The Standard a year and a half ago and I had the pleasure of working with Dave a fair amount, and I always enjoyed his quick and curious mind as well as his quick wit. He was a good man and the world is less a good place with him gone. Please accept our love and prayers.

Mary,

My family was so saddened to read about your loss. As my sister Laura Mitchell said, our families grew up together and the Fitzpatrick boys were an integral part of our lives. We spent vacations at the Ocean Park beach house together. Six boys from the city and three girls from the farm all slept upstairs - it was quite a free for all. I especially remember David as an upbeat and gentle soul. Although we did not see each other much as adults that deep bond from childhood...

Mary,
I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was an outstanding human being and he will so missed by so many people. I think that it is very safe to say that Dave made a difference in so many lives. He most cetainly made a difference in my life. He had such a knack of making people feel at ease even in the toughest situations. One memory that will stay with me forever is his golf cart, the blue golf cart or should I say the washing machine on wheels....OUTSTANDING!!
God Bless!!

Mary and Family,
I went all through grade school with David and will always remember him and his smile. I am glad I got to see him at our class reunion. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mary Alice,
I only wish I had known Dave better - I learned so many new things about him at the service. He was a phenomenal man - he had to be for you to love him as much as you do! And it is clear how much he loved you. I know this is going to be incredibly tough on you. I hope you will reach out to your friends when you need some uplifting. And I would be honored to be one of them. In the meantime, I will respect your privacy. Just know you are in my thoughts every day. Love, Gail

Mary, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the Fitzpatrick family. Dave's father Bob and my father served in WWII together and our families vacationed together at the beach house or on our ranch our entire childhood. They were an integral part of our lives and we will always remember those days with great fondness. Dave was a wonderful guy and we are very sorry for your loss. The Kelly Family, Maupin, OR

Mary:
I grew up with the whole family at Hosford. My brothers also played baseball with them. I enjoyed talking to and seeing Dave at the Hosford and Cleveland reunions. He will be greatly missed. If you need someone to talk to keep his Hosford friends in mind.
I lost my husband four years ago and I know what your going through.

I was sorry to hear about your loss. I knew Dave in grade school and we both participated many years in boy scouts together along with his brother Brian. After losing track of each other after school, we saw each other at a reunion a few years back and were able to catch up on each others lives. After reading all the expressions it sounds like Dave did not change much since he was young. My thoughts are with you and your family.
