Not sure what to say?

rest in power popeye. a true warrior and hero.

I knew Dave professionally. New to my position I called DMI and let them know that all vendors had to reinterview to keep our business. So the CEO shows up and his humility, and knowledge of our business, made me a lifelong fan. Nice man. Class act. No ego. Even let me stay at his place in New Orleans when he wasn't there. Much live and thanks and big hugs to his family. Anne Hunt Cheevers

My family and and I were lucky to be able to get to know him at John mason and Jane´s wedding in Thailand. His presence expressed compassion and wisdom. As my relationship with John Mason is how I got my foot in door, but meeting the other family members has exposed me to the obvious solid roots David created. We are blessed to have these relationships and my David´s adventure be filled with the same love and joy he gave us all. Brekke Lysaker

It is with great sadness I have heard of the passing of this most gracious man. He was always so very kind to me during my time at DMI. Rest easy Dave Sr. Heaven surely has received a wondrous angel! My deep condolences and love to the Florence family

My mom mentioned that she saw this obit in the NYT. I believe this is the Dave Florence my dad, Elliott Cates used to talk about. He also grew up in Scarsdale and went to Dartmouth- Class of `52. I gather they were good friends during their school years. So sorry to hear of his passing. We lost my father in September of 2017. Here´s hoping they meet again.

Sending heart felt condolences to the family. Dave was instrumental in a very positive relationship with my dad Chuck Ament Sr. for which I will always be thankful.

Caring, compassionate, brilliant generous and humble; it was an honor to work under his leadership for so many years. As others have said, forever grateful for the impact he made on my life. Rest in peace Dave.

Dave was truly a man who walked the walk. His word was his bond with people and clients alike. Rest in peace. A true mentor.

And Mr. Florence was a loyal "squash Dad" when John was on the courts! Ned Reade
