Waters Funeral Home - Concord Obituary

David R. Foote, age 78, of Hopkinton, formerly of Bow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Concord Hospital after a brief illness.

David was born in Concord, NH on November 4, 1945, son of the late Paul G. and Mary (Lugg) Foote.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gerry and Paul Foote.

David is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathy (Kelly) Foote; his daughters, Christine Edney and her husband Jeff Audet, Stacey Price and her husband Dave, and their children Lilli and David, and Melissa Girard and Shawn Girard and their children, Sarai and Em; his sister, Carol Alosa and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was known by many for always having a smile on his face. He had been nicknamed the Bandana Man by some of the folks in our small community who would see him drive by with a wave and smile wearing one of his many bandanas. He had a passion for many genres of music, especially live music, and loved to dance. One of Dave's biggest joys was photography, especially when taking pictures of his family and friends, butterflies, flowers, sunsets, and lighthouses. He was an avid reader of WW I and WWII history. Dave was always interested in learning new things. He studied marketing, accounting, business, geology, and American history at Franklin Pierce, as well as semiconductor circuitry and various electronics courses, which he had a natural aptitude for, at NHTI. He earned his Reiki Level II certificate during the years that he was also earning his Brown Belt in Kenpo Karate.

David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial visiting hour will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 10-11 AM at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.

A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to a charity of your choice.

Not sure what to say?

I will always remember David warmly from our days at Bow Elementary School and beyond. I always would try to sit near him for his friendship and the Bryicreem that he wore daily on his "flattop"hairstyle! It was a heavenly scent and we were buds! God bless you, my childhood friend

Kathy, I was so sad to read of your sweet Dave's passing. I regret that I couldn't make it to his service today to offer my condolences to you and the family. I always enjoyed our visits when we lived in Epsom, and then later on in Concord seeing you both at the Audi or the Capital Center shows. Haven't seen you in a long while, but hope you will stay strong for his love and memories. He was one of the good ones, he'll be missed. Susan

Single Tree

I was so saddened to read of Dave's passing in the paper. He was a student of mine, many years ago, at CHS--such a likeable person and so kind. Fly with the angels, David--God Bless You.

Condolences to our foote side of the family. I will always remember holidays with David!

Itwasmy honor to have known hom

I first met David when I was 8 and my family moved down the road from the Foote's on Grandview Road in Bow. We attended Bow Elementary school together and were in the same class through Rundlett Jr. High School and onto Concord High School. David loved to spend time fishing in the stream behind our home, he just didn't like it when I decided to tag along as he felt my talking was what kept the fish away. He was a good person from a great family. I've been gone from NH for 47 years but will...

Stacey and Chris, I am so sorry to read of your dad´s passing. I´m hold you close in my thoughts annd prayers. With love and sympathy, Cathy

Offering our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
