Not sure what to say?

Mr. Freitag - You were so gracious to this poor lost soul. I will never forget your kindness extended to this father less young boy at Grant, sir. I never forgot you, and only wish I had stayed in touch. The Lord bless your soul and your kin folk! For Christ our King - Roberto Corral Denver, Colorado Class of 87.

Mr. Freitag! you were the best! I can still see you in the hallway, a bit rushed, that huge grin. I'll never forget your encouragement and kindness to my 15 year old self. I'll regret forever not taking your Bible as Literature class--like my brother did. But I took your advice about that other thing. :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. He was my Bible literature teacher at Grant HS. He opened his classroom for students who wanted to be part of a student led Bible Study before school. I learned so much from him about the Bible, and it's message. Love and peace to you Mr.Freitag, thank you for your caring and teaching spirit!

Mr. Freitas was my Bible Lit class. it was my favorite class ever and he was an amazing teacher. He lived a great life. Wishing peace to his family.

Freitag family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Anne (Potts) Marcovecchio

Mr. Freitag was my favorite teacher at Grant HS in the late 70´s. A funny and engaging teacher. Room 222 and he also ran a small paperback library in the room nextdoor.

Mr. Freitag not only convinced I could understand my class assignments, he convinced me I could become a valuable and productive member of society. God bless him for the abundant good he did as a teacher and as a human being.

I truly kind, sweet man that spent his career lighting the pathway in education. He was my teacher at Girls Polytechnic High School back in the 60s. He was teaching the class from literature concept of irony. From the Open Boat, he asked us to comment on why character died when seemingly he should have survived. Since was irony, but being a high school student I didn´t have the word irony at the ready so, my response was the bigger they are the harder they fall. He was a role model for...

David Freitag was a great teacher, mentor, and friend. He guided me through student teaching in 1984, and shared a wealth of learning resources. I will always remember his vitality, and energy as he shared his pedagogical ideas in room 222 at Grant High School. You will not be forgotten.
