FUGMAN, David Moore, 38, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Richmond and Petersburg, died Monday, May 6, 2013 of complications from diabetes. He was the son of the late John Kenneth Fugman. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dr. Mildred M. Kline and Robert E. Kline of Green Valley, Ariz.; three brothers, Scott Gund of Petersburg, Christopher Gund (Lisa) of Emporia and John Fugman (Tina) of Ashland; a stepsister, Monica Kline of Chicago; aunt, Carol Busch of Ardmore, Pa.; two nephews, Travis Gund of Blacksburg and Garrett Gund of Emporia; four nieces, Trisha Gund of Emporia, Elizabeth Gund of Emporia, Stephanie Gund of Emporia, and Juliet Fugman of Richmond; and his best friend, Kim Karnes of Charlotte, N.C. David was a graduate of Blue Ridge School and attended Ferrum College. He worked in landscaping and as a glazier. David's passion for music filled his life. He was a well-known and respected bassist, who played in many bands. He was a lifelong Episcopalian and was a Mason, a member of Blandford Lodge #3, A.F. and A.M. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Round Hill Cemetery, Brink Road, Emporia, Va., with Masonic rites. The family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation, 914 Forest View Dr., Colonial Heights, Va. 23834-1217.
