David G. Hoover

David G. Hoover, age 91 of Goshen, IN, passed to meet his Savior at 1:30pm Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at his home with some of his family by his side.  David was born September 19, 1930 to William Paul and Myrtle (Good) Hoover in Goshen, IN.  He accepted Christ as his Savior in his youth and was a member of the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church.  He married Miriam S. Martin on April 5, 1953.  They celebrated 68 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on October 15, 2021.  Mr. Hoover is survived by his 11 children: Luke (Melba) Hoover of New Paris, IN, Ray (Jeanie) Hoover of Stratford, WI, James (Jerra) Hoover of Wakarusa, IN, Jason (Donna) Hoover of Goshen, IN, Herbert (Emily) Hoover of Goshen, IN, Janice (David) Weaver of Unity, WI, Vera (Kevin) Yoder of Crawford, MS, Rachel (Darrell) Ramer of Cazenovia, WI, Edith (Gene) Martin of Sauk Centre, MN, Mary (Myron) Bontrager of Taylorsville, MS and Doreen (Devon) Zimmerman of Claypool, IN; 68 grandchildren; 178 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Clarence (Lauretta) Hoover of Goshen; and 2 sisters, May (Ted) Bemiller of Osceola, IN and Rhoda Martin of Nappanee, IN.  Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter in law, Elsie Hoover; 2 grandsons; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers.  Friends and family may call from 1-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Ramer Mennonite Youth Center (24717 Co Rd 44, Nappanee, IN 46550).  Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church.  Burial will follow in the Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa.
