Not sure what to say?

I knew David as a freshman at UMass..he wrote and played lovely ragtime melodies on the piano and started Springfield Possible. A wonderful creative and intelligent soul. So sorry he has passed . My condolences to his family.

I remember David from the time when he was a pre-teen and I was a member of the Classical High School class of 1967 and a member of the high school youth group at the UU Society of Greater Springfield because his parents were our youth group advisers at the time. I would also talk to him at the church during later years when I would occasionally visit the church. It was always a pleasure to talk to him, and I was saddened to learn that he is no longer with us. I send wishes for peace and...

David was a force of positive change at Classical. He recognized the best in the rest of us. He encouraged me to do things that I didn´t know I could. I am certain that he did that for many more. It was wonderful to see him at the reunion. He spoke so lovingly of his family. I send condolences to his family and friends.

I just do not know what good words to put down. I have trusted David as a good friend and I miss him now being here. We had intelligent conversations and he had great hopes for the good that could be. I only pray I communicate that same hope for the future that David spoke of to me.

Heavenly Eternal Spiritual Rest Dave Gaby to a very good man, husband, family man, community friend RIP from the Barnwell family & friends forever loved

Great Mentor Friend and Activist he said no one is bad just victims of circumstances and could be helped and valued .. he was a true example of walking in Love ... He was humble but fearless challenging all who opposed The McKnight District ... He loved his neighborhood and knew every house of importance and all of its history ... He was colorblind the most non racist person I met .. he lived a clean life ( other than bad food at events ) .. he had a funny side that one had to pay attention...

I never had the honor of meeting David Gaby but his daughter Margaret is DAR Mary Washington Colonial Chapter of mine. He must have Ben a wonderful father to have raised such an all around wonderful daughter as Margaret. My deepest sympathy for her family for their loss.
