David was born on July 15, 1942 and passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. David was a resident of Frankston, Texas at the time of his passing. He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1960 and Louisiana Tech University in Shreveport in 1975 with a Bachelor in Engineering. David joined the United States Air Force in August 1963 and retired as a Master Sergeant after 23 years of service. He was married to Barbara. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday March 20 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston Texas. Military burial service will follow in Frankston City Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday March 19 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o?clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home Frankston.

I am very sorry to read of David's passing. He will always be one of the finest people I ever met. I first met David Galbreath in 1975 when we worked together at Barksdale Air Force Base. David was a great patriot and a great guy to work with. He was always ready with a funny story, but he was a true professional in the field of missile maintenance. I will always remember David. David was a man full of wit, humor and spirit. The adventurer, the historian, the critic, but also the best father and grandfather to all his children. A loving son and husband, brother and friend to many. He used to say, "You know when you leave Texas, the roads change," and "There are no such people as strangers, just friends I've yet to meet."
