Not sure what to say?

Dave was the ultimate inspiration to me as a new DOC Records Specialist in 1993......... There has never been someone so dedicated to the job as Dave, and we've missed him since his retirement. God Bless you Dave, for the person that you were. You will never be forgotten. Kathy Strayer, Record Supervisor SCI Laurel Highlands/PA Board of Probatation & Parole, Harrisburg.

Sorry to hear about Dave. I have many fond memories of the time we spent together as young boys in Lisburn and as caring neighbors after Faye & I were married. From FL we send our sincere sympathy.

I got to know Dave while delivering mail to zimmermans plumbing where he worked for a while. His big smile and laugh made my day. God has a new angel. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I began my career with the DOC in 1978. When I needed assistance I contacted the expert, Dave Gearhart. He was so kind, helpful and always available to his "records people". He and I became close friends. I smiled when I read the entry by the lady who said that Dave showed her how to crochet because Dave crocheted an afghan for me as a wedding present and I, too, still have it. He was a good and wonderful man and will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and especially Barb...

I had the privilege of working with Dave for several years. Dave could always make me laugh no matter what. I will miss him so much. My sincere sympathy is with his family.

Dave was a kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. I had the privilege of knowing him through the Department of Corrections in the late 1990's. He was an incredible asset to the department. He will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends.

To the Gearhart Family,
When I came to work for the DOC 30+ years ago, one of the people that I routinely went to for advice or assistance was Dave. He was knowledgable, patient and kind. Even after he retired, staff comments were always and will continue to be, of admiration and respect.

With sincerest sympathy-Deb Gieda

To the Dave Gearhart Family,
I also had the privilege to work with Dave for many years from SCI Cresson. He was a good and kind friend and my heart goes out to his family.
With Sympathy,
Fred and Liz Kreashko

My condolences on Dave's passing.

I also had the privilege and honor to work with Dave at the DOC during the 1990's. He was an asset to the Department and was sorely missed when he retired. My thoughts and prayers go out to his daughter and his family.

With Deepest Sympathy,
Cheryl Gill, Erie
