Not sure what to say?

I will always remember the devotion of Maxine when David was no longer the David we once knew. She was a true example of devotion. I am glad I had the opportunity to know them both at The Forum.

Dave was the early OSU Extension Educator for the pork industry as it was beginning to bring pigs out of dust and mud and into buildings that were more efficient and healthier for both the pigs and caretakers. He coordinated an early tour to North Carolina to see producers who were breaking the 200 sows. per farm glass ceiling. Equally at ease speaking with governors or 4H members and would often say “let’s sit down on this bale of straw and share a story or two. Equally at ease speaking...

I only knew David and Maxine a short time when we were all residents at The Forum. They were a couple to be admired for their accomplishments. Maxine was a devoted wife when David needed special care. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know them. Best wishes to Maxine and all the family always. Norma Wilhelm

Dave was a great educator as well as a great friend to our family. My Dad, Mel, and Dave did a lot of pork cutouts over the years at Dinner Bell pack. Rest in peace ol friend.

I was honored to know Dave first through the Ohio Poultry Association and later through his volunteer service to ACDI/VOCA. Many farmers benefited from his expertise over the years, both here and abroad.

A true industry legend and icon was a pleasure assisting Dave with our 4-H club and production of educational videos for swine two gentlemen and dear friend prayers to the family and all

Dave was a great mentor and friend and I am glad to have worked with him over the years. Being neighbors in Fayette County was also special and I am very glad my wife and kids got to know Dave, enjoy his melons and his honey. Thoughts and Prayers to Maxine and the rest of the family.

We are so sorry to hear about Dave's passing! He was a kind and generous man and he will be missed by many. I had the pleasure of talking with him several times about volunteer opportunities and he was such a nice guy to work with and his trainings were always appreciated by the farmers he travelled to meet.
Dave volunteered with ACDI/VOCA starting in 1995 and he went on to complete 18 assignments with us around the world. I'm including a list of his volunteer work with ACDI/VOCA in the...

He was AWESOME!
He was our S&S advisor during my years 1997-2001 at OSU.
He attended my first wedding and was complimentary of the certified Hereford prime rib. He was so excited about that, lol!
I really loved this man!
