David Charles Gettling

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Dave's passing. It seems like I just talked with him! I taught at Errol Hassell with Dave and our paths crossed again when Dave was mentoring student teachers at Jacob Wismer. I'll never forget Dave's wit and humor. The song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy" was a big hit at one of our staff parties and I will never hear that song without thinking of Dave.
He will never be forgotten.

I was extremely saddened to hear the news of Mr. Gettling’s passing. I was one of his sixth grade students during his last year at Errol Hassell Elementary in 1990-91. Mr. Gettling was a teacher who made a tremendous positive difference in my life. At the time he was my teacher, I was picked on a lot for reading and writing during recess. Dave was a dear friend to all, we are all richer for having had Dave in our lives. We always will remember his friendly smile and helping manner.

My deepest sympathy to family and friends. Another of our clan has gone the way of all the world and until we meet again we will be saddened by our seperation.
