Miss Carol, I am so sorry for your loss of this great man. I loved seeing him come in and get his coffee in the mornings. He always had a story or joke to tell me. I am truly blessed to have known him and you. You both meant a lot to me. Bless you and your family. You are always in my heart.

Carol and family: I was so sorry to see that David had passed away. You, Carol, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have not seen you for some time, since at the art fair at St Roberts and every time the paper comes I think of you and Dave doing the paper routes and then your son doing ours. My heart breaks to know that I will never be able to talk with my grandpa again. He was one of the strongest men I knew and you can see where my dad gets his strength from. Please pray for my family that we will get passed this, stop the crying and be able to move on and celebrate his life instead of mourning him.

I send my sincere condolences to the Gibbs family.
Dave was our Flint Journal Motor Route Carrier for many years when we lived in Mundy Township.
We had many interesting conversations over the years, and I always enjoyed listening to his stories.
You could always count on him to deliver the paper, no matter what the weather conditions were.
What impressed me most about Dave was his work ethic and his positive attitude.
