Not sure what to say?

I recently had breakfast with a friend that asked me if I knew where Dave was or what had happened to him. I just found out today that Dave has died. I'm sad to hear this. As Phil Payne said in his tribute, we three hung out a lot together growing up and through our early adult life. As we reached driving age, we would stay out half the night detailing our cars! I wasnt sure if this was my long lost friend, Dave, or not. After looking at other sites, i believe it is. I am so sad to learn of his passing and my condolences to his friends and family. I am his ex-wife. We were married in 1978 and divorced in 1992. We did enjoy camping, canoeing, being around friends and family. May he rest in peace; thinking of his Father, Stepmom, brother and half-brother in this time of sorrow.

Dave was a dear friend of ours many years back. We lost touch with him but he was never forgotten or far from our hearts. I’m sure he would have been so proud of his sons, Todd and Matt. Our deepest sympathy to the Giffing family.

to the family of David Giffing,i used to live next door to dave , in Sherwood Park. Steve,Dave and i would play basketball, ride our bikes and hang around each other. We always had a good time growing up. philip payne
