Not sure what to say?

Mr. Gillette was my teacher from sixth grade until my senior year. He was the only teacher I invited to my wedding 10 years after I graduated from high school. He was quite a special man. When you think about your high school years and your favorite teacher, Mr. Gillette was always my favorite. Such a wonderful man and had such a big heart. I have a very beautiful special mirror that you gave me and still hangs in my living room.Rest in peace. All my prayers and condolences to Mr. Gillette`s...

Prayers for your entire family. So sorry for your loss but know he is in such a wonderful place now.

Mr. Gillett was a wonderful teacher and he made my Forest Hills choir experience a joy. I really appreciated his enthusiasm and kindness as a teacher. Condolences to his family.

My sincerest condolences. I loved Choir, even though I am tone death. Mr. Gillett was kind enough to not suggest I take another class. I appreciated his kindness in the C- he would give me. His love for music and his students shone through. He was a great driver's ed teacher too, even feigning shock when I told him I had learned some pre driving school skills around the corn fields of Illinois. Nothing rattled him.

Mr. Gillett was one of my favorite teachers over the years of 1970-1973. His love of music was evident in every practice and performance. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Jane Westerbrink- Boomstra

Mr. Gillette was, by far, my favorite teacher at Forest Hills. He made choir fun and took the time to learn about his students. Sending love and healing prayers to his family. I'm sure he's singing and smiling in Heaven.

Dave was such a kind person. I met him in choir at First Reformed Church and we always talked and laughed. He will be missed. His wife Patricia taught my children in preschool. Incredible family and God bless you with strength from above.

Mr. Gillett was a wonderful teacher! Always kind and patient. R.I.P!

I had Mr. Gillette when I was at Forest Hills Central High School in Choir Class. He was a wonderful teacher and it surly showed in his love for music. Hope he will resume that calling in Heaven with the Angel's and Arch Angel's in a symphonic choir of all the Angel's up there. Peace be with you Mr. Gillett!
