Not sure what to say?

Bunny,
This is long past due, but please know that I am sorry for your loss. You and Dave were so good to us at Danny's first duty station, and I'll never forget that.
I'm praying you are well.

David was one of my heros, as was all the members of his family. Love to all. Rev. Dr. Tom Poe.

Dear Bunny,
I am saddened to learn of Dave's death. We served together in VA-55. I would like to pass along his obituary to the rest of the squadron if you approve.
Regards,
Curt

I worked with Dave on several projects at UCN, most often NEST. He loved his family, and talked about them often. Dave is one of the most positive, pro-active souls I have encountered. I'm certain he touched, and elevated, the lives of everyone he met.

Bunny,

I am so sorry for you loss, Dave was such a kind and good man.

Carolyn,

I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a good kind man.

My wife and I were grateful to count Dave among our favorite friends at Unitarian Church of Norfolk. For someone who had been a Chief of Staff at NATO HQ, Brussels, Dave was a humble, hard-working, and lovable guy who was energized from serving others. I'll miss you. Hope to be at Arlington in June to honor your legacy.

My Condolences, God Comfort all who knew Captain Gist.
