Not sure what to say?

Mr. Dave Glazier was the one and only coach that gave me encouragement to continue when I saw no point to continue to play the sport.

Thanks coach. God bless you. Tom Tiedman (SSP '75)

Judy,
My condolences on your loss; I just saw the notice of his death in the WSU Currents publication. Often I've told the story of how we (Dave, you and I) took my Catholic boyfriend to the Lutheran church in Winona on Reformation Sunday. That was an interesting incident. I can still remember attending your wedding. Such good memories from our college years. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. JoAnn Horton Samuelson

To the Glazier Family,
I'm sorry I won't be able to meet you in person, but I thought that you should know Dave was a life mentor to me. His gentle encouragement and dedication that each of us succeeded in track, and life, is forever with me. I never knew Dave to be anything but smiles and fun. His math classes were challenging. I will miss him. I thought you should know this.

Among the many sayings Coach Glazier posted in the locker room, I think the most important one was "We can't all be State Champions, but we can all be GENTLEMEN." He demonstrated this message to us each day through his own example.

As you approached the finish line in a race, he could see in your eyes whether you tried your hardest or not. And whether you finished first or last, he was proud of you if you gave it your best effort.

Coach Glazier was an important influence...

To the Glazier Family,
I am sorry to hear about your loss. I had Mr. Glazier as a math teacher way back when. He was an inspiration, I thoroughly enjoyed going to his class. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

To the Glazier family, you have my heartfelt condolences. I can still hear Dave's words of encouragement in gym class as we lifted weights or ran the mile..."build those capillaries" He was a great man and I am honored to have known him.

Dear Glazier Family, Dave taught me many things and I owe much of my success as an athlete and as a person to him. He loved his inspirational signs. They were simple sayings written on a manila folder and taped up throughout the locker room. The very first one he hung every year simply stated "If you believe you can, YOU WILL". These are words that I live by to this day. He was a great man and he will be missed. My condolences to you all. Paul Pietruszewski (SSP Class of 84)
