Not sure what to say?

We got to know David through our good friend Susan, David's only sister. On visits to Baltimore to see Susan and, in recent years, to help her in many ways, we enjoyed conversations and dinners with both Goering siblings. Their shared memories and generous spirits were a joy to observe, and David's commitment to his sister spoke to his character, as many have noted here. I was a nurse who worked with Dr. Goering at LMH ICU for the first seven years of my career. Dr. Goering was one of the most kind hearted doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I just learned of his passing from a friend in Lawrence and was devastated to hear of his passing. He was a good doctor, kind co-worker, and he provided patients the most compassionate and dignified care. Love and peace to his family. He is truly a loss for the community.

What a gentleman.

Dr. Goering was always so great to work with at LMH. He had compassion for his patients, and was always kind and understanding when it came to our role as social workers. He was such a kind man and will be dearly missed. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Nicole Hunt
