Not sure what to say?

I met a lot of fellow traders when we cleared through GBB Clearing. I retired from floor trading to pursue other interests. Dave Goldberg's name just came up in conversation with another trader and searched for his whereabouts. Am surprised he died in 2016. Rest in peace, Dave. You were extremely helpful to me when I traded US Bonds in the South Room.

Just heard that one of my favorite people passed away. Dave was one great businessman and was HIGHLY respected on the trading floors. Back in the day, he let me start trading with next to nothing in my account and I am still trading over 40 years later. Was always a pleasure to run into him on the CBOT floor. My condolences go out to the family.

Linda, Bud and I were so sadden to hear of your loss of David.

You and David were in our prayers ever since you told us that he was not doing well.

We were not aware that he had passed away until today

We will continue to pray for your comfort at this time.

David helped me begin my career on the CBOE
In 1973. He was a great mentor!

I cannot imagine a world without Dave. I was so lucky to have known him and the rest of the Goldberg Family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

As one of Goldberg Bros.'s former bankers, I remember David as being very forthright and to the point as well as a man of his word. I especially enjoyed spending time discussing the current economic outlook and its effect on our respective businesses. Small wonder that he became a bank owner himself after his quite successful days at the CBOT and CBOE!

So very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was so gracious and generous to me throughout my career, both as a trader and as a journalist. He was never too busy to stop and help.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing.I cleared through his firm for many years and considered him a great friend as well as a business colleague.

Please accept the prayers and condolences of our family on the passing of Mr. Goldberg. I only met him a couple of times and spoke only briefly. But my father, James Creighton, was a longtime CBOT member who talked often and fondly of Dave. As a current CBOT member it is sad to think that that our exchange has lost another true giant.
