Not sure what to say?

I only had a brief opportunity to work with David, but so admired his passion and commitment to the building performance industry, but more importantly to humanity. He will certainly be missed, but I believe he has left a legacy that will improve our environment for many lifetimes. My condolences to his family and friends.

I so enjoyed speaking with David Goldstein through our shared work in the energy efficiency industry. David was always so smart, caring, and motivated to do the right thing. I enjoyed seeing him as a fellow masked participant at a conference last year. I am very sad to hear of his passing - the industry has lost a brilliant mind. I hope he knew how valued he was in his work network.

It is hard to overstate David's contribution to the field of energy efficiency and de-carbonization. His insights and efforts were instrumental in the basic structure of how efficiency standards are developed and used throughout the country and especially California. It is truly a loss.

The passing of David is huge loss to the world and to energy efficiency community. David was a super intelligent, effective and kind gentle man who devoted his life to his family and to the betterment of mankind. My life is better for have known and worked with David. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on!

Sending my prayers and sincere condolences to the family.

Wishing you all peace as you mourn and remember David. I was fortunate enough to work with him and will always remember his dedication to his work and how often he showed pictures of all of you...he lit up with pride and joy as he spoke so fondly of family.

Deepest condolences to the family

I am very saddened by this news. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace David.

I worked with David for 20 years at NRDC. I knew him as gentle, kind, and brilliant. He always had a smile for me when we chatted at work retreats. My colleague back then was Nancy Marks, and Nancy loved telling everyone how David and his future spouse met on a bus. Such a lovely story and such an impressive life. My condolences to David´s family and friends.
