Not sure what to say?

Oh my dear David. You were my friend, my savior, my brother. I can see you as clear as day, the twinkle in your eye, your unfailing attendance when I called. Dancing/flailing at Raul´s. Dancing Cumbia to Beto for my 21st birthday, where you anointed me "Christine the Champagne Queen." Boiling crab legs for overnight until we were awakened by cats flinging themselves at the door. I think of you so often, Nick Danger, and I was blessed to call you my friend.

I was painfully shy and walked the hallways at TJ with dread. But when you passed me in the hallway coming from the opposite side facing me. You always had this tremendous smile for me. Forever, thank you. You had a kind soul. Class of 1973 TJ Linda (Aceves) Patrick

The class of 1973 has lost one of its brightest and funniest guys. All the stories you had, and there were tons of them...hanging out at your club "Ground Zero" was a blast. And you stole that picture of me (in my underwear at University of Arkansas) from Patti Flanders and put it on a college thesis!! That is the David I will always remember, funny, full of life, and the life of every party. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this very difficult time....

Gomez,
Nearly 30 years ago I had the privilege to meet David living in Austin, "the hill" as some may remember.
Truly a wonderful, intelligent and funny guy with a great sense of humor and always with a smile.
I'll always think of David rocking his head back and forth to the 70's tune My Sharona.
Thanks for your friendship David.

Brother Gomez,

I heard the new today. Oh boy. You were always so kind and funny and loving and real. I loved when you would show up at my house (907) or Sara & Ace's (909) to chat and talk about your daughter, your professional exploits and the music you've heard and how you kept up with stuff. In my heart, you will always live as one of the good guys.
Thanks Gomez. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know you.

Gomez,
You were one of the most intelligent, generous, funny, and good-hearted people I have ever known. You were a joy to be around and I will miss you deeply. I love you, man.

David, you always made me SMILE :)

David,
You were one of the good guys, man..You always lit up the room and put a smile on everyone's face. Sorry you had to pass at such a young age, but I guess the brightest candles burn the fastest. You created friends wherever you went. What greater legacy can anyone leave. Adios amigo.Sweet dreams.
