Not sure what to say?

To many of us of a certain age, teenagers at the dawn of the muscle car era, Bud's Hamburg was OUR local version of the burger hangout in the film, American Grafitti. That likely might have been lost on Bud personally, but who can dimiss the memories that guy and that little burger shop created. A Sincere Thank You Bud. Rest in Peace. Full condolences to the Goodwin family.

~I am at a loss of words. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to the family~

To the family and many friends of Bud Goodwin:
I started going to Bud’s almost 60 years ago as a kid. I recently had the pleasure of having my last breakfast with Bud a couple of years back when my Mother (Thelma Kuikstra) passed away. I said, “Bud you do remember I worked here 45 years ago? He said, ”Yes, I of course I remember”. I said, “Do you remember you paid me only a dollar an hour? His reply, “Yes and it was too much even back then!” He will be missed. Kary (Kuikstra) Scholl...

Bud & Sue were close friends way back when Bud & Hattie owned Bud's Hamburg...so many happy memories . I am sure Bud will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers, especially to Sue and son David and all of the family. May God,s peace be with you and comfort you.

I am 5 years old and my Grandpa is a friend of Bud's. He would take me to see Bud at the restaurant for a burger and fries. One day I left my race car there and Bud saved it for me. I was so happy he did that. I will miss you Bud!

My Grandpa took me to Bud's ever since I was in kindergarten. I am entering 6th grade now and I am going to miss seeing him at the restaurant. He has always been a great friend and hunting partner of my Grandpa's. We will all miss him.

I will remember all the good times with Bud, first as my scout leader, working at the at Bud's hamburg, hunting, time at the West Walker Sportsman club and even buying my first gun from him. He was a great friend and mentor to me in past years. We will miss him. Our sympathy and prayers go out to the family.

Bud was a long time friend. Very sad to hear of his passing. Will miss him.

Our sincere sympathy to the Goodwin family. My two boys would go with their grandpa to get some lunch during the summers. They would always come home with some type of story and they always said that the hamburger was made Bud's way. Just last summer my 12 year old and his friends started riding their bikes down to get some lunch whether grandpa was there or not. They had a blast and they will miss him.
