Peaceful Reflections

Chatted with Dave at many a bottle show. Great bottle enthusiast. Bill Rose, Little Rhody Bottle Club

Very sad to hear about Dave´s passing. I´ve known him since I was about 18 (1980) when I first got into the beer hobby and he collected Springfield. We set up at countless bottle shows where we would always talk. We have sold each other a lot of items through the years. I remember going up to his liquor store in the early days where he took a Rhode Island bottle I needed out of his wall of bottles and gave it to me. I still have it. Dave will really be missed in the bottle world. To his...

I felt sad reading this obituary. I knew Dave through my father Jim Holsing. They were lifelong friends after meeting at one of my father's wine tasting classes in the 1970s. I could understand how they got along so well. Dave had an infectious personality. He was smart, funny and had a great...

Very sorry to read of Dave´s passing. We had a lot of fun attending bottle shows, Brimfield antique fair, and breweriana conventions. He was always helpful to me as a young business owner and we shared a love of local history, especially the Summit House, getting his books into local museums. He gave lectures to many local historical societies which were always well attended. My deepest condolences to his family.

A loving cousin
