Dave and I met in 1978 when we were roommates at the USCG Aviation Training Center in Elizabeth City, NC along with Brian Revheim. That started a 40 year friendship. Dave was an incredible man, very talented, very caring and very unique - a true renaissance man!
More recently, my family and I would go stay a few days with Dave and Lora in Scappoose on our summer holiday. We had a great time and I'm so very happy my two young sons got to know Dave.
The world was a better place...

I worked with Dave for many years and he always had a bright personality. He seemed to always have some interesting adventure to share like when he fell off of his new trail bike and fell into the mud because he could not get is feet out of the clips.
I had the pleasure attending his Valentine day wedding in 1995 on the Willamette River Queen when there was an ice storm; another memorable event.
Dave will definitely be missed and my memories of him will live on.
