Not sure what to say?

I'm a house call veterinarian and I provided care for David's two cats. As we got to know each other better over the years, we found that we had a few friends in common in the musical theater. One of the last times I saw him was at my 50th birthday celebration at a cabaret show at The Gardenia. Talk about old Hollywood :)

Though I only met him once, is was a night I will never forget. David was so full of life and stilling flirting with the cute guys sitting next to us

David was a force of warmth and sensitivity to all those he encountered. One did not need to know him long before being introduced to his passion for animals and for meeting and connecting to many different kinds of people. Since the day I met him six years ago, David maintained an admirable joie de vivre. He is and I am sure will continue to be- missed by many.

For many years now David has been a wonderful friend, his calls and emails have helped cheer up many a gloomy day. Always a supporter and friend to the Bassets and all of us at Daphneyland, we shall miss him more than words can say. Our sincerest condolences to family and friends, that list is indeed very long. Bellyrubs to you dear David - the critters at the rainbow bridge have many stories to hear!

Your two-legged and four-legged friends miss you, David. Larchmont will not be the same. Rest in peace, my friend.

David was a dear friend of my wife, his former client, Joan Van Ark, for decades. A gentle, sensitive, talented man, who was an expert on people. That's why he had such a successful, long-lasting career.
