Not sure what to say?

God's Peace to the family and friends of David Grainger. I thank him for all the ways he chose to show his appreciation for his employees. He had a special lace in the hearts of the nursing staff who were blessed when he stopped by our Health Center. I had <13 years at Grainger and personally felt his warmth and kindness when I received a call from him while at home on a medical leave that I shared with him I would be taking. On return to work, I went to his office to thank him for his...

My condolences go out to the Grainger family. I'm sorry for your loss.

The news of Mr. Grainger's passing was devastating, a moment that brought time to a standstill. For those of us who worked at Grainger, his presence was more than that of a leader; he was the heart of a family we all felt honored to belong to. He inspired a sense of purpose and pride, and his legacy is etched into the lives of those fortunate enough to be a part of that family. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many. I was blessed to know you and proud to call you my...

My sincere condolences to the Grainger Family. I will always remember Mr. Grainger´s kindness, candidness, and professionalism. May his memory be a blessing. Sincerely, Ellen Klein, former Grainger Nurse

So sorry to hear of his passing. I knew of him through my mother Hildegard who was his secretary. After she retired she remained in contact with David until her passing. She always spoke of him with fondness.

His generosity was beyond enormous. His Foundation provided funds to refurbish the Adler Planetarium Sky Theatre which reopened in 2011 and was then named The Grainger Sky Theater. A larger-than-life size bronze sculpture at the Johnson Space Center in Houston depicting the safe return of Apollo 13...
