Not sure what to say?

Awesome General and Leader. I was honored to " snap in" with his Aide -de-Camp, and follow the general around for about 2 weeks before he gave up command of Ft BENNING to MG Wetzel ( who I was Aide for) Grange was a true Ranger ! Ron Benton Ret Ranger

I could write a book on all the thing's LTG Grange and I talked about ! I would like to say he was one of the best friends I have ever had in my life ! He was always willing to listen to any crazy thing I had to say and most of the time I could make him laugh , When we would have lunch we would have to put table's to gather because we would turn it into a party and everyone was invited , It was my honor to know such a fine man !

LTG David Grange, then Commander Fort Benning, Ga spoke for about two hours to the IOAC-RC 1-81 class, Infantry Advance Course. He was very generous with his time and experience to all of us that were 1LT's and Captains mostly with at least one tour of Viet Nam. We were all Army Reservists and his attention to our career development was deeply appreciated. As an Ordnance Officer, attending this course, it gave me immense insight on later assignments and deployments. Colonel (Ret) Steve Spatola

I was privileged to serve under LTG Grange´s command in Vietnam (1967-68). One of the truly best leaders I ever knew! At the time of serving, I was a lieutenant in the 2/506th Airborne Infantry Battalion, 101st Airborne Division.

I guess he would have been around 80 and I was a Canadian Army Reservist observer. During a break, I was perusing a display depicting U.S. Army operations in Italy. He joined me and pointed out on the map where he had been located. He added, "I hope I'm not bothering you?" I was so flustered. "Of course not, sir! We had a great little chat. ...

I am sadden to hear of the loss of one of the greatest military leaders I have had the pleasure of knowing. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Grange family with the passing of their loved one. May the comfort of God Almighty and loved ones provide the necessary comfort and peace for the family as they navigate through the days, weeks, and months ahead.

We often speak of great men, LTG (R) David Grange, Jr. was the epitome of a great man. He gained the respect of all he met,...

My deepest sympathies to the Grange family. Rest in Peace with the Big Ranger in the Sky.

Dear David, son of Lt. Gen. Grange, 9/11 was a sad day for America 21 years ago, and is again a sad day for the friends who met you and your father. But 9/11 was also a very happy day for the Belgium people who were liberated on the day in 1944 by brave First Infantry Divisions soldiers. We spoke a few times with your dad and it was each time an honor for us. His pictures of "then and now" will forever be on display in the Remember Museum as we don't want him to be forgotten. He is one of...
