Here's one of my favorite David memories:
It's the early 80s on Lake Tippecanoe and David, probably seven or eight, and I are surfing on a paddle board behind the speedboat. He's the one holding the rope. Wipeout! He's got a snozzfull of water and his oversized lifejacket is making giant raspberries on his skin. He's crying so we load him in to the boat. A few seconds later, shivering in unseasonably cold and rainy weather, he asks me if we can go again.

David was with our company, Jersey's Cafe, for about a year. He had made friends and had a lot of fun when we were all hanging out joking with each other. David and I had a lot of conversations about life. Sometimes it was to a point of strong disagreement, but never enough to cause a wedge between our relationship. When he left our company we always tried to keep up with him. One of our emplyees ran into him a couple months ago at a store. We always talk about David when the employees...

I always loved & cared about this young man. I had the honor of having him in my life when he was much younger...he was so very sweet. I hope he is at peace now. My deepest sympathy & prayers go out to ALL of his family.
