Not sure what to say?

I only lerned of David's passing today and I am shocked to have lost a great leader in the seniors care sector. He was a mentor to many and created a legacy in elder care that will have influence in the sector for many years to come both in North America and globally. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

I had known David for the past 27 years and had fun working with him whether it was presentations for AHSA or WAHSA or strategic planning for SAGE. He was a man with infectious energy and many innovative ideas. My highest regards to a man who never stopped thinking how he could improve the last phase of life both in quality and dignity. Good Bye, my friend! Thanks for the friendship.

Vernita,

I just heard of David's passing today in talking with one of his many friends. I was very pleased to get to meet David when you both visited the Lab in Minneapolis. You were both wonderfully curious and energetic. I'm saddened by your loss, and I'm certain that he's left a strong legacy of caring.

Vernita, David was my favorite speaker of all time, kind, kindhearted... not only a great speaker but a kind and wonderful person.

David,
Thank you for all you have done for Seniors and the Design community in helping us all become better advocates.
Your passion was infectious and lit a fire in many of us to follow in you great footprints. Big shoes to fill indeed. Rest in Peace my Friend. Beth

David taught me so much in senior living. He was always active and taking on his next project. You will be missed.

So very sorry to hear of David's passing. What an extremely compassionate and wonderful man.Knew him from Evergreen Retirement Community. David knew every staff member by name and would always have a sincere smile for you.

To Vernita and family: We were out of the country until Sun. and were saddened to hear of David's death. David lived out his faith to the fullest and we have been honored that you and David have shared your lives with us. David left an incredible legacy. Friends forwarded David's obituary to us. What a tribute to him and the perfect scripture at the end. You are in our thoughts and prayers and share your sorrow in his death. Bob & Julie Reinke

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. David was a good Rotarian friend and very supportive to our 2 generations of Evergreen residents.
