My heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to the family and all of David's loved ones. It truly was a shock. It will serve as a reminder of the fragility of life and our inability to understand God's plan. David & I had attended a few church services together here in Indianapolis. Though he may not have openly expressed it often, he did have faith. I trust he was welcomed by the Lord's loving arms; awaiting our own homecoming.

David's humor and encouragement over last summer when I worked with him were always highlights of my day, and he was an excellent manager. I will truly miss David, and, though I only knew him for a few months, my memories of him will last a lifetime.
