Not sure what to say?

David. Will never forget the family trips back to the "homeland" You were always a big part of that Thank you Peter Grills

We knew Dave from the Misquamicut Town Beach where he enjoyed to be everyday especially when his grands were there. Rest easy. We missed you this pass year. Deb and Phil

Good bye, Mr. Grills, you were a fine physical education teacher and liked by students--my sympathies to the family--

I´ve heard this man referred to as a "cross country legend." My coach told me what a brilliant coach and person David was. It´s rumored that he watched cross country races at Hampshire Regional High School after coaching there and starting a legacy of talent. Knowing that my coach learned from David, I can tell you what an incredible inspiration he´s...

Just learned of David's passing..he was a good man and loved his family..I learned a lot from him about our families history...he will be greatly missed .

Much sadness in hearing this news. He and Buddy are my direct connections to my fathers family.. Prayers to his children

Coach Grills found out that we weren't doing the full runs, but rather than discipline us, he took our teenage rebellion in stride, gave us the moniker...

I only just read about Dave´s passing. As a great friend of Papa Coach´s my heart hurts and I send heartfelt condolences to his family. David stood by my side as we both said goodbye to my dad and I will appreciate that forever.
