Not sure what to say?

We were heartbroken to hear of David's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies. We were all in the same company together at West Point (Dave and Grizzle were "room dogs" for a semester as well) and we'll always remember him with a smile for his incredibly big personality, enthusiasm and great sense of humor.

It saddens me to have to add my thoughts to those of many other classmates here. I just learned that Griz had passed on when I saw another of our classmates at the airport in Baghdad. Like others have written, nobody can imagine a man of his strength leaving us so early. Please accept my condolences and know that Dave was loved by all who met him at West Point and I'm sure everywhere else too.

Well Done; Be Thou At Peace!

My heartfelt condolences to the Grizzle family. I met "Grizz" and his family in Garrison the day before R-Day. We were both a little apprehensive about the next day but as luck would have it we ended up in the same Beast Squad and Plebe year Roommates. The many happy memories will live on forever...

Dear Heather and the Grizzle Family,

My wife and I want to express our deepest condolences for your loss. Griz always made everyone smile with his bold personality and GA charm. He will be missed

Heather and Grizzle Family. There is nothing we can say to ease your loss at this time, but our prayers and thoughts are with you. Grizzle was our class mate, and we will remember him fondly. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Heather,
I was Grizz's roommate our second year at West Point. What a great guy. He made every event fun. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. God Bless Him, You and Your Family.

I am very sorry to hear about David's death and battle with cancer. My deepest sympanthies to his widow and family. He was my USMA classmate and friend. He was supposed to live 1000 years. May he now be bringing power to the angels in heaven.

My heart is saddened, and my deepest condolences go to the family. I have many fond memories of “Griz,” and the world is a lesser place. Your family is in my prayers. May God bless, keep, and comfort you all.

Dear Heather and Grizzle Family-
Dave or the "Grizz" as we all called him was my classmate and a great friend to many. Although we went our seperate ways after Graduation, I will never forget his laughter or sense of humor. What a great guy! He will be sorely missed as a member of our class. You and your family are in our prayers.
