Not sure what to say?

I met David for one day but he really made an impact on me. He said that he took his daughter on a concord jet to Paris. I don´t know if she will ever read this but he was really proud of doing that.

I rembrr David from La Jolla - played basketball at the rec - David also sold us a beautiful home on inspiration Dr in La Jolla - I lost track of him after he went to Costa Rica. I wish I would have known that he returned to SD. I would have like to have seen him - he was a great guy. Wayne

I am very sorry to learn of Dave's passingMy father and his father were good friends thus my exposure to Dave. He was alway gracious to me and I had the honor of playing basketball with Dave once in awhile even though I was younger. Always very nice to me and this guy could shoot the basketball like no other.simply amazing and I feel lucky to have seen many games at LJHS that he performed in.I am sorry about his early departureI would have like to have seen him again to mention the joy he...

My brothers, John and Jim McGrew, were classmates with Dave. However, I also knew Dave well. I was the young brother that is usually ignored, but Dave always talked to me. My dad and I went to almost all of La Jolla's basketball games in '62 & '63 and saw Dave do amazing things on the court. So frustrating to now know that he live close to me. We would have liked to have spent more time with him. He is missed!

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We shared a portion of a backyard fence growing up in "Upper Hermosa" neighborhood. In fact, the day we met we were sitting on that fence rocking Mr. Kennedy's concrete incinerator back and forth with our feet until, yup, it fell over and broke! Welcome to the neighborhood! We paid.
I think Dave's constant bouncing of basketballs in the driveway next door to the Kennedy sort of drove the poor man nuts.

Tales of Dave's shooting ability are...

Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We were "back to backyard" neighbors growing up. We played a lot of blacktop basketball in the summers and were teammates at La Jolla High. I spent a lot of time trying to defend his unbelievable shots! He is missed.

RIP my special friend Dave. We shared apartments at San Diego State and Mission Beach, wild times were had. When I moved to NYC Dave visited at Christmas with his daughter Heather. When I returned to Ca/Mission Viejo, Dave visited me there also. I sure Dave is hitting home runs somewhere over fences as those who Dave know Dave Grund doesn't bunt. You will be missed my friend.
