11-18-2022.....Good morning.....Nine years ago, I attended the funeral of my first and oldest cousin - David Gunning. My mom and dad only had one child. All of my cousin were born during or soon after WWII. These were tough, but bonding years, for the Souder/Gunning/Quein families. David and I were nowhere near alike, yet much like brothers. Reflection.....David was my cousin and a couple years younger then me. He would often have dinner with my mom and dad at their house in Margate. They loved his company, playing games together and scuttle humor. I loved talking with him regularly on the phone in the years preceding his passing. His positivity was inspiring. It was my privilege to provide the eulogy at his funeral. I welled up, as I spoke of this kindness, generosity and faith. My tears reflected my love. Rest in...
