Gustafson Family:

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was such a great friend growing up in Saratoga and you are such a kind and giving family. Some of my favorite memories growing up include David and the Gustafson family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and David.

I want to express my deepest sorrow for the passing of my cousin Dave. He was a fun member of the family. He had a great sense of humor. I was so happy I could come to the funearl with my family. The talks were so nice. I want to express to the entire Gustafson family how sorry I am. I am so thankful for the church. It brings so much comfort to me. I hope you all can have strenghth to endure this tough time. Take care and May Heavenly Father Bless you all!!!

To the wonderful Gustafson Family:

On behalf of the staff and students here at Saratoga High School, may I express my sincere sorrow at your loss. All of the Gustafsons hold a special place in our hearts. You were the "family extraordinaire"- being present at everything from Drill Team to wrestling meets was part of who all of you were. We share your saddness, your loss, and your pain. David was special to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.

I went to Dave's funeral yesterday and I wanted to tell Dave's family how impressed I was with them. Dave has an amazingly beautiful family. I could feel the love that you have for each other and I know you will all be together again someday. I will keep you in my prayers. Dave is a great guy and I want to thank him for being such a good friend to my boyfriend. You will be missed.

To the Gustafson Family: I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Your friendship over the years has meant a lot to me. I always enjoyed being around your home way back when. You guys always welcomed everyone. You will all be in my prayers. Craig Archer

I am sorry to learn about David. I knew his parents when I lived in San Jose. David's parents were great friends and looked out for me. I know that they loved their children and would do anything for them. I am sure that David was much like his parents and loved you and his family.

In my nearly 2 years of working out with / getting to know Dave , I grew to know a person who defined what it means to truly love all. No matter the circumstance, he was always a friend to whomever needed anything he had to give. I'll miss his easy smile, but knowing him as I do, I'm sure he would want us to smile on his behalf even now. See you soon friend , W

Dave was a great guy. We were in the MTC together. We flew to Colombia together and came home together. He was a great missionary and the Colombian people really loved him.

Dave was the kind of guy that was always there for another. Serving a mission with him was not only a joy but also an honor. Dave, thank you for blessing the lives of others and serving in the Lord’s vineyard. Until we meet again.
