Not sure what to say?

My husband and I met Father Dave in the 90's at St Francis Assisi when he filled in for mass now and then......he was the example of what a priest should be in every manner......he saw a need and tried to fullfill it.....a parishoner was sitting longer in church and when he asked why she was there she said "Father, I have no money for oil and I am sitting here to stay warm for a while"..........eventually she went home......an oil truck appeared at her door with a contract paid to give her...

Fr. Dave is at peace with God. He was a great man who truly lived his life for God.

God bless you and may God watch over your soul.

Thank you for all you did for so many. You truly gave of yourself to benefit others.

God Bless!!

To the Hagan family
Our hearts break for all of you. Your grief and pain must be overwhelming... We will pray for all of you.

"Inside Grief"

You Who Were Held

You who were held as a child
and as a teacher
you who we held in friendship and fellowship

you who were brother
and Father

you should be
with us here
on this edge.

It is unbelievable
it is unbearable...

I met Dave back in 1965 when I was in graduate school at Georgetown. We took a course together that summer at Catholic University and remained friends over the years. I could not make his ordination in 1966 but we continued to keep in touch indirectly through friends in Virginia and DC who supported his work. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with him in 1987 and to see first hand the wonderful work he was doing. I cherish a book and video he gave me. He was a wonderful,...

Father Dave's niece and nephew, Allison and Christopher Hagan have been childhood friends of myself and my sisters for many years. It was through this friendship with the Hagan family, that I met their Uncle Dave and had the honor of him marrying me at my husbands' boarding school chapel. He will always have a special place in our heart and we send our condolences to the entire Hagan family. Hanging on the wall next to my computer is the picture he gave to me on my wedding day of First...

I did not know Rev. Hagan, but I know his brother Patrick Hagan. I am an employee in his law firm. Pat, as we call him at work, is a very caring and good person. If Rev. Hagan was anything like his brother, the world has lost a very good man. My condolences to the family.

Father Dave lived his beliefs each day; he dedicated his life to his fellow man, and I felt privileged to have known him. Would that we had more people on this earth like him.

Fr Dave: A Friend To All

We were in the same section at North Catholic and rode the 56/23 trolleys together. Gave Him a tape of Kennedy playing Father Dave.He was the weekend priest at St Francis of Assisi in Germantown. May He RIP.
